Privacy

Short version: no accounts, no tracking cookies, and we only keep what's needed to make the site work.

Votes and saves

Your upvotes and saved items are stored in your browser's localStorage. To count one vote per device, your browser also keeps a random, anonymous device ID. When you vote, that ID is sent to our server, where only a one-way hash of it is stored next to the item you voted for. It isn't linked to your name, email or IP address.

Newsletter

If you sign up for the Daily 5, your email address is stored with our email provider, Resend, and used only to send the newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time, or email us to have it deleted.

Submissions

"Submit a tool" opens your own email app. Nothing is sent or stored by the site; we only receive what you choose to email us.

Cookies and analytics

We don't use tracking cookies or third-party ad trackers. Your theme choice and whether you closed the sponsor bar are remembered in localStorage. Our host (Vercel) processes standard request data, like IP addresses, to serve the site.
