What they did
Automated summarizing his social feeds with both OpenClaw and Grok Bot and wrote up the comparison.
Result (as claimed)
OpenClaw took 40+ minutes to set up; Grok Bot returned the feed in 10 minutes.
Tools they used
Tools in our setup
Suggested in the setup steps below; not named in the source.
Cost: Perplexity free tier or API (pay per use), Undermind free plan, Resend Free, GitHub Actions free minutes.
Set it up
Define the beat
Write a precise research brief for my digest: topics, must-follow sources, what to exclude, and the format (5 items, 2 lines each, source link).
Build the digest script
Write a script that calls the Perplexity API (PERPLEXITY_API_KEY) with my brief for the last 24 hours, asks for citations, and returns 5 items as JSON with title, summary and URL. Drop items without a source.
Docs: docs.perplexity.ai/
Email it
Format the JSON as a clean HTML email and send it with Resend (RESEND_API_KEY) to my address.
Run it daily
Add a GitHub Actions workflow on a daily cron that runs the script with secrets from the repo settings.
Go deeper weekly
Each week, put the most important papers into NotebookLM and generate an audio overview for my commute.
Copy the full setup prompt
Paste into your agent and it will walk you through the setup, asking before anything that sends, posts or spends.

Ask me 3 short questions about my situation (accounts I have, budget, what I want the output to look like). 2. Propose a step-by-step plan using these tools or cheaper alternatives, with the time and cost of each step. Use official pricing pages; say "check pricing" if unsure. 3. Then do the setup with me one step at a time, waiting for my OK before anything that sends messages, posts publicly, spends money or deletes data. 4. Finish with a checklist to run it again next time.
