Tools in our setup

Suggested in the setup steps below; not named in the source.

Cost: OpusClip from $15/mo; Descript has a free plan; CapCut free to start.

Set it up

  1. Clean the episode

Give me a Descript checklist for this episode: remove filler words, cut dead air, and mark 10 candidate highlight moments by timestamp.

    Docs: help.descript.com/

  2. Clip it

From these timestamps, choose the 6 best clips (20-60 seconds) with a strong first line. Explain why each will work.
  3. Hooks and captions

For each clip write an on-screen hook under 8 words and a caption with one question to drive comments.
  4. Show notes

From the transcript, write show notes: summary, 5 key points with timestamps, and links mentioned.
  5. Schedule

Build a Zapier zap that takes a new row in my content sheet (clip URL, caption, date) and creates a scheduled post draft in my scheduler for review.

    Docs: help.zapier.com/

Please:
1. Ask me 3 short questions about my situation (accounts I have, budget, what I want the output to look like).
2. Propose a step-by-step plan using these tools or cheaper alternatives, with the time and cost of each step. Use official pricing pages; say "check pricing" if unsure.
3. Then do the setup with me one step at a time, waiting for my OK before anything that sends messages, posts publicly, spends money or deletes data.
4. Finish with a checklist to run it again next time.
